Odu Jam: Roots & Rhythm

Description: Odu Jam is a high-energy, soul-awakening dance experience where rhythm becomes ritual and movement becomes medicine. This is more than a dance class, it is a space to reconnect with your body, awaken your roots, and move from the power of your center.

Blending Twerk, African, Hip-Hop, and other Afro-diasporic dance styles, Odu Jam places strong emphasis on hip and pelvic movement, encouraging you to move your roots- freeing the hips, activating the pelvis, and restoring natural flow through grounded, rhythmic motion. Expect to sweat, release tension, build confidence, and tap into joy through guided choreography and moments of expressive freedom.

All levels are welcome. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or stepping into movement for the first time, Odu Jam meets you where you are.

Wear loose-fitting clothing such as African wrap skirts, shorts, or loose pants, and come prepared to dance barefoot to deepen connection with the body and the ground.

Come ready to release, reconnect, and remember. Through Roots & Rhythm, Odu Jam becomes a living ritual, one you feel long after the music ends!
